Little Mountain Jewellery

Exploring balance and contrast in design through evocative lines and elegant simplicity.

Handmade from precious and semi-precious materials, each piece is designed with attention to detail, giving equal importance to wearability and aesthetic.

Little Mountain strives to create pieces that are interesting as adornment as well as sculptural in their own right.

Launched in 2017 by local jeweller and designer Fiona Webb, all Little Mountain Jewellery is made by hand in Macedon.

Mitsuro Wax

This range of jewellery has been made using Mitsuro Hikime wax. This is a traditional mix of refined beeswax, pine resin, and paraffin wax. Also called Taffy wax, from the technique of pulling and stretching to form fine creases. It is then shaped into rings and sculptural forms which are cast in silver or other precious metals using the lost-wax casting technique.

Jewellery Care

We want you to wear your Little Mountain jewellery for many years to come, so remember to remove your item before gardening, cleaning, swimming or bathing.

Sterling silver and gold can tarnish when exposed to the air, so protect your jewellery when not being worn. Wrap or store separately to avoid scratches and keep it in an airtight container.

Make-up and skin creams can form a layer on metals and stones, making them dull. Gentle cleaning in warm soapy water, thoroughly drying and then wiping with a jewellery polishing cloth is a simple way to bring gold and silver back to life. Be careful when polishing pieces that have oxidised elements, as this can remove the layer of oxidisation.

Avoid bending metals when handling, especially earring wires and bangle cuffs, as this can increase the chances of breakage.
