Aunty Pat is our muse—she was a woman who travelled the world but always returned to her garden and her trusty dog, Clover. We’ve modelled our shop after her adventurous spirit and her love for anything that's classic, practical, and with just a hint of quirk.
Who is Aunty Pat?
Aunty Pat was a family friend of Jane, and her husband Stuart worked with Jane's dad in civil aviation. When Stuart and Pat moved from Adelaide and settled in Bullengarook, Jane's mum had an idea: move closer to them, to the Macedon Ranges. It was the perfect suggestion, and soon both families were part of the same neighbourhood.
Pat was a character—she loved her dogs, tending her garden, and had a thing for English silverware and botanicals. Her home was the epitome of organised clutter, but in a good way—everything had a story, and everything was repairable. Pat and Stuart had vintage cars, and they’d hit the road for Sunday picnics, enjoying the simple pleasures of life. Her cooking was legendary, and she had a way of turning even the most ordinary day into something special.
